What is Pathfinders?

Pathfinders is an interactive co-ed Christian club for youth ages 10-15. Youth enjoy friendships, camping trips, earning awards (honors), community service, a growing relationship with Jesus, and more!

Pathfinders is a worldwide organization of more than 2 million young people, dating back to 1907. It is sponsored by the Seventh-day Adventist Church, though young people of any religious persuasion, or none at all, are welcome and encouraged to join.

Pathfinders offer a wide range of activities including, but not limited to:

Camping & survival skills

Grade appropriate leadership training

Activities promoting community pride & involvement through outreach activities such as helping in soup kitchens, serving at community events, collecting food for the disadvantaged, baking cookies for those serving our country, visiting and encouraging the elderly, and MANY more

Interactive training in a variety of recreational, artistic, nature, conservation, vocational, and outreach areas, with awards (honors) given for successful completion.

Personal mentorship and encouragement by a caring staff member. While many school classrooms have 10-30 students per teacher, Pathfinders offers AT LEAST a 1 staff member to every 5 Pathfinder ratio!

Teen Leadership Training (Grades 9-12):

The Teen Leadership Training (TLT) Program for grades 9-12 works closely with Pathfinders to develop teen Pathfinders as Christ-centered, character driven leaders.

Teen Leaders in Training are challenged and empowered with new and increased responsibilities, while allowing them the security of doing so in a place they know and love. The TLT experience will assist Pathfinder teens to form adult-Pathfinder relationships as an expression of their developing identity as teenagers. The TLT members learn how to give of themselves and how to receive from others. They learn to allow themselves to be known while getting to know others.
